DEPARTMENT OF SCIENCE AND HUMANITIES

The Department of Science and Humanities has been effectively functioning since the inception of VVCET with the aim to provide the students with deep insights into basic sciences and lays a solid foundation to the engineering students of the first year. It consists of the following four disciplines:

• English
• Mathematics
• Physics
• Chemistry

The prime focus of the department is to provide practical learning in Basic Sciences to the first year engineering students. Apart from the academic, the S&H department enables the students to imbibe moral values and develops students’ employable skills. The department is keen in developing students’ personality, enriching their communication and soft skills through a team of dedicated and experienced faculties.

Mission

• Our mission is to create a community of learning, in which students acquire a strong foundation of basic science, Mathematics and to promote progress in related fields of Engineering.
• It aims at imparting proficiency in English to the rural based students for their successful academic and professional career.
